A beautiful handcrafted circular bag made from pure natural caña flecha or palm tree fiber. The Zenú people in Cordoba, Colombia transform natural palm tree fiber into caña flecha fibers that they then weave into strips using patterns and color that represent their culture and history.
This unique handbag was woven using a striped "herringbone" type pattern of black and white caña flecha fibers on one side, and on the other side, an amazing pattern of bold, bright colors of fuchsia, orange, yellow, white and turquoise mitered to a radiating black center. Handles in bright fuchsia top off this amazing handbag. The inside has a zippered pocket and is lined with a spill resistent nylon fabric to help protect the beautiful exterior of the bag. What a beautiful example of the talent of the Zenú people!
This versatile two-sided bag will certainly add a pop of color and style to any outfit! Carry it or wear it over your shoulder for a day of shopping, a trip to the beach, to a picnic or barbecue, or for an evening out on the town.
- The bag is a 15 inch circle (length and width) and the handles add about another 6 inches at the top. The side is about 2 inches in depth.
